LifeStraw is a company that makes long lasting, reusable straws that filters most of bacteria, parasites, dirt, sand, cloudiness, and micro plastics. When someone buys from LifeStraw, that means clean water for a child for one whole year. Go to: https://www.lifestraw.com
I like LifeStraw because clean water is a necessity to survive and they bring LifeStraws to children who are in need of cleaner water. LifeStraws are long lasting, are easily portable.
The history of LifeStraw: In 1992, a 19 year old named Mikkel Vestergaard Frandsen, was on a business trip in Lagos, Nigeria, and saw how bad the water was. Working with The Carter Center in 1994, Mikkel Vestergaard Frandsen created a filter out of mesh to get rid of Guinea worms from drinking water in Africa. He took over the family business in 1998. 1999, with The Carter Center, he made a plastic tube filter to filter out Guinea worm larva. Now the company has grown and the LifeStraw has been made to filter dirthy water into clean, drinkable water.
